I’ve decided to give my blog a twist and expand the topics I write about, I haven’t thought/learned about fashion leather jackets for a long time now. So I think that writing about it may help me learn some more. This is my first post in the series – Italian Leather Jackets. Wish me luck!
Men’s leather jackets are one of the best finishing touches to any man’s wardrobe, whether it be for fashion or though jobs, they are -hands down- the best option to consider.
After you have decided to buy a leather jacket, there are a couple of things you should know:
Why are Italian Leather Jackets so great?
Italian leather is (most of the times) hand-crafted and tooled in a very specific way, to ensure the best quality makes it for clothing. A lot of time and care is put into making leather as beautiful, weather-sealed and durable as possible. In each stage of the tanning process, the leather is tested to make sure it is up to standard.
The Italian leather manufacturing process remains essentially the same as it was more than three thousand years ago. Sure, technology can speed things up and reduce costs, but craftsmanship is still there, and the quality assurance is one of the bests in the world.

What to look for when you are ready to Buy an Italian Leather Jacket?
As with any leather jackets, there are a few “insider tips” you should know before heading to the mall or online store. Miss to follow them and you might get yourself a bad product that will feel like pissing money down the toilet.
1) Smell: You know this, leather has a musky, earthy-like smell and the odor of the chemical products that are used to treat leather should be gone by the time the jacket hits the store. Otherwise, you are looking at a bad quality leather jacket.
2) Water-proofing: Just try to drop a few drops of water on the jacket (make sure nobody sees you!). The whater should bead on the surface rather than seeping through it all.
3) Research the Brand: Like I said in the previous post, there are lots of scams out there, just make sure to follow the tips on my last post on fake leather jackets and you’ll be fine.
If you follow these simple tips, you should be able to get a fantastic leather jacket that will last for years to come. As a matter of fact, if you bought a fashion leather jacket, probably the style will wear out before the jacket does!
